Englewood

The City of Englewood is located immediately south of the City of Denver. It is a full-service city with its own independent park, library, school and public works systems. The city enjoyed a huge building boom shortly after WWII and most of the city was built up by 1960. Englewood offers small town convenience with big city amenities. Light rail transit, excellent access to the Denver metro area, 250 acres of parks and trails, and affordable housing are among the many reasons people choose to live here.

For newcomers to Colorado, there is some confusion about the size and location of the City of Englewood. The U.S. Postal Service assigns the place name “Englewood” to seven ZIP codes, which cover areas adjacent and southeast of the city, so many of the addresses written as “Englewood, Colorado” are actually in the cities of Sheridan, Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village or Centennial. Business parks along the I-25 corridor, such as the Denver Tech Center, Inverness and Meridian, are also located in these zip codes, but none of these areas are within the City of Englewood, which lies several miles west.
