Southeast Denver

Most neighborhoods outside the city center were developed after World War II and are built with more modern materials and styles. Neighborhoods even farther from the city center have suburban characteristics. Because Denver had an opportunity to redevelop some very large parcels, including the former airport and a former air force base, southeast Denver is enjoying population growth and exciting new architecture.

Southeast Denver’s neighborhoods owe their popularity to larger home and lot sizes, beautiful neighborhood parks and bike trails, and convenient locations that are midway between two major employment centers: Downtown Denver and the Denver Tech Center.
